Staying in the Present

“Life’s a journey…Everyone needs a guide sometimes”

Therapy is not about me "fixing" you, it’s about working together in helping you find your own truth to face your challenges. I will not sit quietly and just say “I see” or “tell me more”. I will be engaged in exploring how your experiences and self-awareness can guide you to a deeper understanding of yourself. I have 30
years experience as a therapist, educator and writer, but more importantly I have been on my own path of healing. Therapy is about having a safe space to
explore the things in your life that are blocking you from being your best self. Let me be your guide on this journey.

Somatic Therapy

Body-centered approach to psychotherapy that helps release trauma, stress, and emotional tension stored in the body to promote holistic healing. Somatic therapy, also called somatic experiencing therapy, is a form of psychotherapy that focuses on the connection between mind and body. Unlike traditional talk therapy, which primarily addresses thoughts and emotions, somatic therapy treats the body as an active participant in healing. It is based on the understanding that trauma, chronic stress, and intense emotions can leave physical traces in muscles, posture, breath, and the nervous system, which may manifest as tension, pain, shallow breathing, or fatigue long after the original experience has passed.

Mindfulness-Based (MBCT)

Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT) combines cognitive behavioral techniques with mindfulness strategies in order to help individuals better understand and manage their thoughts and emotions in order to achieve relief from feelings of distress.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

IFS® is frequently used as an evidence-based psychotherapy, helping people heal by accessing and healing their protective and wounded inner parts. IFS®  creates inner and outer connectedness by helping people first access their Self and, from that core, come to understand and heal their parts.

Intimacy From the Inside Out (IFIO)

A relational therapy model that helps couples and individuals strengthen emotional intimacy by addressing internal emotional dynamics and protective parts. IFIO is a couples therapy approach rooted in Internal Family Systems (IFS). It focuses on using the relationship itself as a vehicle for personal and relational growth, helping partners navigate emotional reactivity, attachment wounds, and recurring conflict patterns
